Super Bowl winning coach with a team that seems to be in the conversation every year to get back and win another one. The great Sean McVeigh. Great to see you, buddy. Yeah, I appreciate you guys having me better early so I'm not sweating again. Yeah, right. Well, Florida, that Florida humidity is no joke, that's for sure. That is a dry heat. It's real good. This is. Hey, first thing I want to ask you, what's it like not being the young whiz kid?

0:57.8

What's it like not being the young whiz kid? What's it like being 40 now? You're an older, mature coach now. I'll tell you what. I don't acknowledge that I'm 40, Chris. It is. I'll tell you what, it's good, though. It is wild, though. I mean, Kyle and I talk about it all the time. I mean, it's, it's a blessing when you look at it to be here for the 10th year now. Yeah, yeah. And I think what's cool about it is, is, you know, obviously it's been well documented. We've talked about it before, you know, the natural struggles of just working through figuring out what's a rhythm and routine that's sustainable. Yeah. And I think of the things like we were talking about having a family, you know, it's a real blessing. I think there's a better perspective. By no means I haven't figured out, and I'm still the same basket case that I've always been. But I think there's better just tools that I have in terms of recovering, better perspective. And I will say this too. I think your heart's changed. You know, you have kids, you know, in a lot of instances, parenting isn't so different than a lot of the things that make you a good coach. And so in a lot of instances, I think, you know, that makes it more sustainable. But it is awesome. I love it. And I still love every bit of it. And, you know, whether it's the tactical stuff, the building and developing relationships,

turning over the staff. And I'm excited as hell about getting going for this year.

2:07.1

Well, you're all energy all the time. But off of that, just explain to me and Mike and the viewers, too.

2:11.2

Like, what do you mean about the adjustment? I know you were psycho, pedal to the metal, all that.

2:15.4

So what exactly have you changed now with the family?

2:18.5

Well, I think, you know, I don't know that I would ever really use the word balance,

2:21.6

but you're just figuring out how to be more present wherever you are.

2:24.4

I think in a lot of instances, you know, when I'm at, and really what I think presence is,

2:28.5

it's a tension with the right intentions.

2:31.3

You know, and it doesn't take much, but like when you're at home, like be at home. Like if you've got stuff to do, you know, and even just leaving your phone away, if you're trying to get like deliberate practice in with studying film, you know, how much of a distraction the phone can be, or whether I'm reading my son books before I put Jordan to bed at night or just being able to be present with my wife, Veronica. So I just think there's a better understanding of, man, when I'm able to do that, I'm just a better in all parts of my life. And I don't think there's like separations. It's like kind of you are who you are. And if you can make sure that you're understanding what matters and what's that compass that directs you personally and professionally, I think it's, you know, It's at least feeling like it's going in the right type of direction the last couple years, but it's never ending. Yeah, yeah. It can't be 24-7 with everything in your life. You've got to be able to set certain things aside and focus completely on what you're doing, and then when you get back to the other thing, you focus on that. That's right. You were telling us a story before we started and I it cracks me up

3:25.5

because it sounds like your oldest son is already has the football mindset.

3:29.5

It's a beautiful torment. I look at him and I say, oh man, how do I help him prevent from going
