Summary

Today on "The Call Room: Road To Seattle" is the fastest junior in the country, Owen Powell!

Owen is one of the fastest high school boys in the country, and he's only a junior. He holds PRs of 49.38 (400m), 1:50.72 (800m), 2:23.22 (1000), 4:02.04 (Mile), 8:41.03 (3200m), and 14:46 on the grass.

He's the Washington 3A XC State Champion as well as the reigning State Champion in the 1600m. Owen won his first national title this winter in the 800m at Nike Indoor Nationals.

Owen also holds the Outdoor National Record in the 1000m run, by running 2:23.22.

Owen is entered into the 2024 Brooks PR Mile where he'll look to be a part of a historic race.

In today's conversation, Owen takes me through his historic junior year, his chase of the sub-4-minute mile, his national record in the 1k, growing up in the sport with parents who are legendary NCAA coaches, his ambitions for the 2024 Brooks PR meet, and so much more!
