#AD | Welcome to Casa Amor aka #SamsungKX! We’re serving up an extra helping this week with the help of @samsunguk & it’s Connected Living experience! Samsung gave us free reign of their top notch kitchen for the day where we cooked up our onion quiche (a la Carly Rae Jepsen!) & hosted a special episode of Table Manners with the charming Ovie Soko.
Since winning the heart of the nation, on what his mum called ‘Vanity Island’, Ovie has gone on to become one of the Island’s most well known contestants. He talks to us about his Nigerian heritage, his love of Jollof rice, going to collage in Alabama and his continued side career of being a basketball player!
Despite supporting Arsenal, he exceeded every expectation & received an A* report which went straight on to the infamous Love Island WhatsApp group! Go and have a listen.

0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to Tadeve Lanners for a very special bonus episode. Today's episode is pretty special because Mum and I have been given free range of Samsung KX and they're connected living range. |
0:16.0 | Hi Mum, how are you doing? |
0:17.0 | I'm fine, it's strange to be out, isn't it? But this is like paradise to me. This is a proper kitchen. |

0:36.0 | And we're having fun with their connected living range. So basically we're going to be cooking from the kitchen and we're going to be enjoying the family hub fridge and the dual cook flex oven. |
0:47.0 | So we can cook two different things simultaneously on different heats and a savoury could be in the top and a sweet could be in the bottom and they wouldn't change the flavours. |
0:56.0 | It's amazing but my favourite family hub fridge. |
1:00.0 | I mean it kind of is like a robot. |
1:03.0 | It blows your mind doesn't it? On the front you've got everything that's in the fridge plus the expiry date. |
1:10.0 | And if you're a bit short of knowing what to do that night to cook, it makes up its own recipes. |
1:18.0 | A little bit about Samsung's smart devices. They're all connected to their smart things app which means I can use my phone to check what's in the fridge when I'm out. |
1:26.0 | So if you're at the supermarket you can go on to the smart things app and check what you've got in your fridge because it has a camera inside. |
1:33.0 | So instead of you know when you always get that extra mint jelly or you get all butter. |
1:38.0 | Exactly. So when you're out you can see exactly what you need to pick up or even preheat the oven on the way home. |
1:43.0 | You know how you're always like darling you're going to be here. |
1:46.0 | You put the oven on. You can do it from your phone. |
1:48.0 | So I know it's excellent. |
1:50.0 | Everything works together through the app making life a little bit easier and you can even play music from the fridge so you don't even need a radio in there. |
1:58.0 | Oh we're going to put some of your songs on there. |
2:00.0 | So no mum please don't be pushy. |
2:02.0 | So to make use of the dual cook flex oven we're going to be cooking two different things. |
