0:31.3 | Happy flipping February. How have you all been? COVID restrictions here in the UK are lifting a bit. |
0:38.0 | Cases seem to be slowly dropping and beds in intensive care are being freed up every day. |
0:43.6 | Okay, so it's a drop of single figures throughout the whole of the UK, but at least it's going in the right direction. |
0:50.4 | And to put that into context, this time last year, there were nearly 4,000 people in intensive care because of COVID in the UK. |
0:58.9 | And last week it was less than 600. |
1:01.7 | So yes, breathe a sigh of relief, just don't do it in each other's faces because that might be pushing you look a bit. |
1:09.0 | And I know everybody's bored of COVID now. |
1:11.4 | We just want to get back to how things were when we didn't even need to consider whether |
1:15.2 | someone in the room might have a virus or not. And it looks like that's the way it's heading. |
1:21.2 | In the same way that we don't wonder whether someone has whooping cough or tuberculosis anymore. So life might not be quite so overwhelming |
1:31.1 | in 2022. That's not to say that being overwhelmed is off the table, though life can still throw |
1:38.6 | things at us that tips us over the edge, can't it? There are still going to be massive emotions |
1:43.8 | that totally overwhelm our body. |
