not worried about going in, but had a question.

Could they avoid those lapses that have plagued them in every game except for Purdue?

And I don't even know if Purdue counts playing defense anymore. They have not only avoided lapses, but after one poor drive, seven touchdowns of the next eight drives, just handling Stanford 49 to 7. We'll get to the defense. They always play well.

Yeah, and speaking of Purdue, since you're giving me a natural segue, Purdue scored 46 points after halftime today and still found the way to lose the game. So that's all you need to know about Purdue.

I'm convinced that Purdue and Kent State could play an infinite football game that neither

team would find a way to win.

Notre Dame today, the offense, we heard Marcus Freeman say.

I thought it was really interesting.

It was through our question that I'd ask about the offensive identity.

And he said, I wanted it to be unrecognizable to you guys.

I wanted to, and he said he told his players to show us something unrecognizable,

which lets you know even when they say they're not hearing the outside noise.

They're hearing the outside noise.

But it was largely unrecognizable because of how efficient it was after that

seemingly mandatory game opening terrible possession. And it was not necessarily headed

toward a terrible possession until a penalty. And the Irish didn't have a lot of penalties

today. But then Riley Leonard, I think, feels healthier.
