Prompting worries that a continued influx will strange Chicago's resources.

Will this force sanctuary cities to rethink their policies?

It is an interesting question for liberals to be, you know, like, hey,

let's have open borders or close to it.

And then when they come, but it's not in our states and Texas Governor kind of called their bluff.

Was like, well, you like immigrants so much? Have some of ours.

I think it's worth pointing out that the term sanctuary cities doesn't actually meet people say we want you illegal immigrants to come here.

It's a term that was not invented, but certainly championed by Rudy Giuliani in the 90s.

It's the idea of if someone has committed or has witnessed more likely a crime in a major city,

you're going to see some illegal immigrants there.

So what we're saying is we're not going to share that information with the federal government to deport people.

That is the sanctuary, the talking more.

It's a sanctuary from federal deportation laws.
