Summary

Has your family been impacted by a fentanyl overdose death? Sara's has, and she shares what it was like to lose one of her son's best friends with no warning. And it's happening to thousands of families around the country every year. In fact, the most recent number of overdose deaths in just one year was well above the numbers of American deaths in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan combined. Many of the overdose deaths are not drug addicts. They think they are taking one pill to sleep or stay awake or lessen anxiety, and that pill ends up being laced with poisons.

We have to highlight the destruction perpetrated by the Mexican drug cartels and permitted by poor border policy. And we have to tell the stories of these precious souls. Today, Sara welcomes Sandra Bagwell, who lost her beloved son, Ryan, to fentanyl poisoning. They also discuss the work that Sandra is now doing to educate families about how just one pill really can kill the people they love the most.

0:51.4	Fetanyl is moving fentanyl precursor chemicals.
0:55.8	Those are the chemicals used to make fentanyl into Mexico.
1:00.7	Those chemicals are being obtained by the Mexican drug cartels and they are using them to make
1:06.5	fentanyl tablets.
1:08.4	These fentanyl tablets are being disguised as percocet, adorol, oxycodone, anything that
1:14.4	you can think of.
1:16.8	And they are flooding our streets with them.
1:19.9	And children are dying.
1:23.3	People are dying.
1:24.3	And they have been now for years.
1:28.1	The DEA is well aware of this.
1:29.9	Our U.S. intelligence apparatus is very well aware of this.
