I'm going to give the final period, I promise, I promised you last week, on the temptation of Jesus.

I kind of mixed them last week, but there's three things I want to touch on in our journey

of the Lord's life, which is the eternal journey.

Amen.

I'm going to preach a three billion year series on Jesus.

I don't have another message.

I don't want one.

If you preach them, I love you.

I'm just addicted to the man from Galilee.

And Christ is all in all and must be all in all.

Everything must point to him and he is the vision by which we see all that he is.

Once you find Jesus, you have found everything.

And there's nowhere else to go.

There's nowhere else to go.

There's no other sermon worth preaching.

There's no other reason to open the Bible.

Jesus is the point of Scripture, and Christ crucified is the only proper lens to interpret the

scripture. If not we settle for mere moralism and that's not bad, it's just not life-changing.

The Lord promises us much more than us attempting to do things well and properly.

In fact, trying to live a righteous life outside of being made righteous by the ongoing

quickening of the Holy Spirit is impossible.
