0:11.5	heard that the Gentiles also had received the Word of God. So when Peter went up to Jerusalem,
0:16.9	the circumcision party criticized him, saying, I'll stop there before going into the rest of the
0:22.6	chapter. But let's just point out the obvious here when the gospel started to spread to the
0:29.1	Gentiles, to the nations when the nations began to receive the Word of God. There was criticism
0:35.6	among people who claimed to be worshippers of God, who claimed to be even followers of Jesus.
0:42.7	And this is a theme that we see throughout the Bible. The way I put it recently in a book,
0:49.9	I wrote called Don't Hold Back. The global purpose of God has always faced resistance from the
0:56.8	nationalistic people of God. There has always been all throughout the Old Testament and the New
1:03.2	Testament. And this is yet one other example in Acts chapter 11 verses 1 and 2 of resistance
1:09.4	among the people of God to the purpose of God in the world. And we shouldn't be surprised by this.
1:15.6	And we pray all the time on this podcast for unreach people for three billion people who are
1:21.3	unreach by the gospel right now. Why is that? Why? With all the resources, technology, ease of travel,
1:28.4	why with all that we have available to us in the church today? Are there three billion people
1:34.3	who have little to no knowledge of the gospel? Yes, there are all kinds of factors in the world
1:40.0	that the devil, the adversary, is using to keep the gospel from spreading to those three
1:45.4	billion people. And one of those factors is actually within the church resistance among God's
1:51.4	people to God's purpose. And it plays out in so many different ways. We've all had time to go
1:55.9	into but just know when you and the more you give your life, your family, or lead your church for
2:02.1	the spread of the gospel to all the nations, to all the peoples of the world, it will not get easier.
2:07.6	For you, your family, or your church, it will get much harder. And not just when it comes to
