from the Bible. This is Jesus and his disciples. Now this is after the

resurrection, the story we're going to read. This is the third time that Jesus is appearing to his disciples

and one of the things that we're going to see in this story is he's restoring Peter.

Now Peter denounced Christ, he denied him.

And remember, Jesus said,

you'll deny me three times before the cock crows.

And so he did.

And so now he's restoring Peter in this scene,

but you're gonna see some very unhealthy

comparison going on here. John 21 this is verse 15. So when they had eaten

breakfast Jesus said to Simon Peter,

Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?

He said to him, yes, Lord, you know that I love you.

He said to him feed my lambs.

He said to him again a second time.

Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? He said to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?

He said to him, yes, Lord, you know that I love you.

He said to him, tend my sheep.

He said to him the third time, Simon son of Jonah, do you love me? Peter was grieved because he said the third time. Simon son of Jonah, do you love me?
