unrequited love, articulating deeply felt overwhelming desire, it's all built into the fabric of

queerness.

We know intimately the barriers to loving freely that exist, that have existed, and poetry

has always been there to express it all.

Whether it's the letters that come from the long distance romances were known for,

or the poetry of a short personals ad.

Horny gay poets and writers across history have given us so much,

and it's only right that we honor that history this Valentine's Day.
