In August, Florida resident Tony Patterson was arrested in his front yard.

In footage released today, the police are reassuring him

that Bond has dropped to a mere $500 per charge.

Patterson doesn't seem to think that's a particular bargain.

In the bag of the squad car, Patterson wonders

allowed what the hell is happening to him

and the arresting officer somewhat commiserates

because the charge is illegal voting.

I think I thought my fucking feeling was able to vote.

That's why I decided to put it in.

If I remember, why would y'all let me vote

if I wasn't able to vote?

I'm not sure, buddy.

While felons did get their vote restored in 2018,

not all felons did.

And Patterson was one of those whose convictions
