A real quick thing before we get going, would you please follow our show in whatever app you're using to listen to us right now? Yeah, you don't even have to listen. You could just hit follow and it would really mean a lot to us. Yeah, there's probably like a follow button or maybe there's a bell or a plus sign. Like there's some symbol somewhere and then you'll get notified whenever we have a new episode. We would so appreciate it.

fun weekend. With some time to prepare, I've been training and I'm getting faster and stronger.

1:01.7

On race day, would it be rude for me to not stay with my friends and just run my own race?

1:07.3

Is there a most polite way to say, have fun, see at the finish line? Or am I supposed to

1:12.6

keep the spirit of a friend's weekend and stay with a group even if I feel like going ahead? To be

1:17.8

fair, some or all of them may be faster than I am. Hey, this is so fun. Yeah, love a 5K. Is this

phrase for a reason? Run your own race. Uh, sure. Yeah, I mean, that's a phrase that exists. Right. I just think that we should tell our friends in advance what we're thinking. Yes, that's the key. We cannot get to the starting line and just be like, bye. So I just think we talk about it in advance, so it's not like a day of. Yeah, I think the night before, like, oh, so excited for the race tomorrow. I've been really training, really hope to get a good time. And so I may run ahead, but definitely I'll see y'all at the finish line. Or maybe you'll see me at the finish line. Well, I think our letter writers also thinks that they're all faster than her. Yes, I think the point is we're all at different levels. We're not sure what levels we are. And that's fine. I mean, it would be like if we went skiing together and I was like, oh, you're a beginner skier, but you're obligated to do the double black diamond slope with me. Like, no, we do not have to do the same thing. Like, we can do the thing
