Summary

Jim Miller’s killing spree continues. He targets his own business partner, and a lawyer, and a Deputy U.S. Marshal, and possibly the famous sheriff, Pat Garrett. Miller stays out of trouble, as usual, until he travels to Oklahoma to dispose of another Deputy U.S. Marshal. 1:15.6	On February 27th, 1909, former Deputy US Marshal Alan Augustus Bobbit,
1:22.1	was tundled through the hills around Ada Oklahoma in his wagon. He had retired as a Marshal and was now a cattleman and a farmer.
1:30.1	The sun was setting as he was returning to his ranch. Suddenly, from a clump of trees, a shotgun blast roared out of the tranquil evening.
1:39.1	Buck shot ripped into Bobbit's legs. There was another boom, and a second load tore into his side.
1:46.1	Bobbit toppled from his wagon and fell into the pasture below. His neighbor, Bob Ferguson, was following in his own wagon.
1:54.1	Ferguson jumped down and took cover behind his rig. He watched a figure walk out from the trees and approach Bobbit.
2:02.1	Ferguson shouted at the man to leave Bobbit alone. To Ferguson's surprise, the man did. He retreated without firing another shot.
2:11.1	The only other sound was that of a horse galloping away from the thicket of trees. The assassin either panicked or figured he had been successful or both.
2:21.1	Ferguson was sure he knew the rider. He didn't know the man's name, but he felt certain it was the same man he had seen just a few minutes earlier.
2:30.1	Bobbit in Ferguson had passed a lone rider on the road. The rider had greeted Bobbit, but it was an odd meeting.
2:38.1	The stranger wore a rag that was tied around part of his face so that it covered one eye.
2:44.1	The stranger could have been protecting his face from dust, but it was a weird way to do it.
2:49.1	The man had been riding a scruffy brown mayor and had something that looked like a folded poncho tied behind his saddle.
