So as I've mentioned before, this is Blizzcast, or rather an introduction to the new

I've been teasing it a little on Twitter, but Blizz has been in contact with us for a while

about coming on board to take over BlizzCast and re-forge it as a more community-driven

experience.

They wanted to bring people in from the fan community,

people that had a lot of experience in regularity and podcast content output,

and we turned out to be the best fit.

Right, it really began when I met Chris Metzen at BlissCon in 2009.

I told him who I was, and we chatted about podcasting,

and we both expressed that we thought Blisscast could be better. The old Bliss cast was kind of stodgy and impersonal and

definitely had problems with regular output. Yeah, putting out an episode every few months is not

usually how a podcast goes. Most podcasts come out at least once a week and you have regular

hosts with intermittent guests. The lack of a consistent voice made it easy to feel detached

from each episode.
