You bought yourself an archery shoot.

It used to be called Top Pin. Now it's called Out West Archery Fest. Why'd you change the name? Just switching gears, you know. Top Pin was always a really competitive-based shoot. And I'm just a bow hunter dude that end up buying a shoot. and I want to make it a fun place that guys just come and get ready for September and just make it a good family fun event where people can come just enjoy shooting their bows with like-minded people and have a good time. Awesome. What's the dates for 2026? We're June 13th and 14th at Silver Mountain Resort, Caligado. Okay, so we had Cota on the pod last year. I'm going to give you guys up to speed if you didn't catch that episode. And we basically kind of like put it, tried to put it on the map a little bit with the changeover. You bought it from Brad Peterson. Mm-hmm. Have you talked to him lately? A little bit off and on, yeah. How's he doing? Good. Is he, what, he's this nine to five, or is he doing entrepreneurial things? Kind of doing his own thing, just trying to, he's got a lot of going on with his kids and baseball and stuff like that. He actually had, I believe he was out of baseball deal with his kids last year, so he wasn't to make it his kids are probably at that age a lot of people are but um this is kind of a family

oriented shoot meaning you got kids bring them yeah exactly we're we have a huge drive for the family

um especially with kids and stuff like that we got our uh free youth raffle that we do so any kids like

12 and under there,

we get them entered. And last year we had, I think, half a dozen or so kids bows to give away.

Carter donated like a dozen kids releases. And just seeing the kids light up and get them interested

in archery. I mean, they are the future of this sport. Oh, yeah. We're trying to grow archery.

Yeah. That's awesome. Yes. I'm trying to get my kid to love archery without making him hate archery. Exactly, yeah. That's delicate. Do you have any hot tips for me? You know, honestly, my daughter, my oldest daughter, she's fell in love with it pretty good. She's, she's been shooting with a release since she was four.

And I mean, she's actually, she digs it, but just kind of let them do it when they want to and don't really force it. Yeah, like so tonight, Tristan was already here. He's nine. And he catches the bus. We don't live here yet. we're moving this week. Yeah.
