0:00.0 | Well, hello folks. We are live. Welcome to episode 30107 of the survival podcast. It's Friday. So it's time for an episode of Outback with Jack. Got 10 bullet points for you. I'm going to go pretty quick on some of the |
0:29.8 | some of them. We'll go a little more deep into some others. This will be the last live stream for two weeks. It will be the last new podcast for two weeks. I do have some bad ass rewinds coming for you guys over the next two weeks. I'm not actually out of here on Monday next week. I'm not leaving till midweek. But I have interviews. Some pretty cool interviews. I'll send out a communicate. All right. Maybe over the weekend. I'm going to go back to the next week. |
0:59.8 | Monday morning about those two interviews that are coming up. But they will not be TSP episodes just so you know. And when I say bad ass rewinds. I mean it next week is kind of lighthearted stuff. But I have some stuff stacked into the second week of rewinds. I got one that goes all the way back to 2009. And it is incredibly prophetic when it comes to the situation we're in right now. |
1:26.8 | It was an episode called recovery means inflation. And again, it's from 2009. That'll come Thursday next week. And so cool stuff coming and speaking of prophetic John will is from original SOE tactical gear is in the house got him up on the screen on the live stream right now with his comments saying morning. It's prophetic because my interviews next week include my roundtable with John and Nicole on Tuesday. So those will happen next week. |
1:55.8 | I'm not telling you who the other one is. It's on Monday. And it's a really big deal. And you'll have to wait to find out. All right. Before we dig into today's topics. I want to go ahead and share with you our sponsor today. It's Paul Wheaton's Paul Wheaton's permies dot com. If you have never been to permies dot com. I thought it would be a good day before I'm out of here just to let you know about all the cool stuff that you can find at permies dot com forums. |
2:23.8 | The marketplace all this stuff is free right rocket mass heaters skittable structures keeping chicken ebook rocket mass heater plan solar station. This is all free. And there's more free stuff there. |
2:39.8 | All of Paul's podcast. This is like the hub of everything Paul Wheaton articles on D.E. That's a Dometatious Earth. Well, Foddy set Pulitzer's coolest stuff on the planet organic lawn care. I mean, you see how much cool stuff is here. |
2:55.8 | You can learn about skip and building a better backyard and you can learn about the jamboree that's going on this summer, which I'm totally jealous that I can't be part of. |
3:05.8 | And I've already heard from some of you guys are going to be there. So if you have never gone to permies dot com get on over there. And this is something I like to throw out like kind of a hat tip to Paul. |
3:18.8 | Everybody and their mothers on some form of social media now even people that say I'm not on social media and then they're on YouTube right it's a formal social media. |
3:26.8 | There is like it was the social media explosion was the death of the original old school online forums and they're still forums that are active. |
3:34.8 | Paul's permies dot com forums are probably the only growing. I mean at a significant rate growing forums online today. |
3:44.8 | Some people don't like some of the rules that Paul has, but there's a reason that he has like a forum built on architecture from like the year 2000. |
3:54.8 | I mean it's been updated and I'll look at you wrong, but I mean really like this is like 1999 2000 tech and it's still growing in a world where everybody's on Facebook and YouTube and Snapchat and TikTok and all that other crap. |
4:07.8 | So check it out and check out all the cool free stuff he has with that before I jump into this. This is something that just happened last night. |
4:15.8 | And I wanted to share this with you. I'm just wondering if anybody maybe might sleuth out what's going on here. This was interesting to me. |
4:25.8 | So last night I bought a little bit of Bitcoin and I mean a little bit. So this is not this is not by interest. That's the kind of the point, but I went on strike and I bought a bit of Bitcoin. |
4:38.8 | And it was like a hundred bucks worth, right? Just is like, yeah, it's down again. I'll buy some more. So whatever I buy Bitcoin, the first thing I do is transfer it as soon as the transaction clears, which is almost instantaneously on strike. |
4:55.8 | I then say, okay, I want it in my own wallet screw off. I do not hot a lot of exchange. So every once in a while, not every time, but quite often once the transaction clears my wallet, I'm like, I wonder what the deal is with the address it was sent from since it came from strike or coin base or coin extra whoever. |
5:14.8 | And usually when I go there, I'll find that they have a balance is like 50, 100, a few hundred Bitcoin. In this case, they had 600 Bitcoin. That's not that odd that an exchange could strike as an exchange right would have 600 Bitcoin as a balance. That's a lot, but coin base, you know, you see it usually it's 50, 40 something like that. And they have multiple addresses that they're doing business from. |
5:37.8 | The bigger deal here for those on the livestream, you can see this total received. That's not dollars. That's Bitcoin. If that's 14 million Bitcoin have been received and about 14 million have been sent. Now if you're going, well, there's only like 18 million Bitcoin in circulation. That in itself is not a problem. |
5:56.8 | This is an exchange, obviously. So in exchange can process, you know, thousands or tens of thousands of Bitcoin a day. And it's the same Bitcoin moving back and forth and changing hands or going into stables and back in or into shit coins and back in. |
