Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show,, our midseason trade deadline general manager episode.

We're doing this a couple weeks before the trade deadline. There's been a little bit of activity across the league.

Obviously, we talked about some of those moves in yesterday's pod, the guide, your guide to the 2023 MLB trade deadline. So if you didn't listen to that and want to just have a rundown of what every team might be doing, buying, selling, or staying pat, we went through every single team. Go check that out. Scott, today we're joined by Logan and Ilya. You teamed up with I teamed up with Logan as always for the

past couple years to come up with what we would do if Brian Cashman were fired today and and how some

some people now in the organization think it's Hank call up call us up and say hey we need you to

we need you to make some trades at the deadline. This is what we would do. That's what we're going through today. Going for the old common sense department. Come on and make some decisions and actually make this team better and prove it, you know, do the things that you're supposed to do to try to win a championship. Yeah, this is fun. These are, you know, two, two of my most anticipated and fun episodes

of the season. It's, you know, playing GM, playing, it's a little bit of fantasy is, is a lot of fun.

And honestly, I think, and I are pretty much undefeated at this point. So it's, it's fun to just

come in and win. Still, still, still going to trade for, uh, trade offload Donaldson's contract to the Rockies. Still going to, still going to try to that. You should. Yeah. Just still, still should. Um, anything before we get started, do you want to mention about the all start game? Obviously, Garrett Cole started. I think on the Monday episode, we said

Garrett Cole wasn't starting because it was like a weird report that he wasn't and then he ends up

starting, which makes sense. I think someone got confused with Aaron Judge not traveling to Seattle

because that's what the report came out. So yeah, the Garrett-Cole thing, glad you started.

There was a fun fact that it was the first

Yankee to start an All-Star game since Roger Clemens also in Seattle in 2001.

Oh, look at that nugget. Two hosses. The, um, it's pretty crazy when you look up and down

an all-star lineup and, uh, you only see one Yankee. And I know judge is hurt, but it's, uh, it's, it's just, it feels weird. It feels wrong. It feels wrong. And maybe that's why they, they, uh, the AL lost for the first time in what, 12, 13 years. Is it just me or have the all start games been two to one, three to two, basically? They've been low, they've been low scoring, yeah.

I guess that makes sense considering like good pitching is always going to beat good hitting.

And then you've got basically aces and bullpen aces coming out every single inning, just throwing their absolute max for 10, 15 pitches. It's like, yeah, it's going to be pretty
