Today is Monday, May the 19th, 2025, and today's episode title is our top five economic challenges.

Now, if I would have given it a title that really explained it fully, it would

have been way too long. We're going to talk about exactly what it would just said, our top

five economic challenges to really recovering the United States economy. Like all this talk

that Trump has about brishoring manufacturing and using tariffs to leverage better trade deals, how to handle inflation, how to deal with the monetary supply, all these things.

Here's what's actually wrong.

And then what are the problems at two different levels we're going to look at?

What are the problems from a federal management level? I think a lot of people don't realize

how many things in your life are screwed up because of your state small S rather than the state

big S. In other words, you live in Alabama. It's an Alabama problem or a Birmingham problem. It's not necessarily a Washington, D.C.

problem. Both contribute. But one thing we do have to be honest about is if the federal government is making a problem and the federal government does something to mitigate that problem, probably not solve it.

That takes place across all 50 states. But if the state of Alabama, government does something to mitigate that problem, probably not solve it, mitigate it.

Okay, that takes place across all 50 states.

But if the state of Alabama or the state of Georgia or the state of California or Washington

or Oregon, Illinois is doing something to cause a problem and the Fed makes it change,

unless there's some sort of mandate that's enforceable with it, it doesn't change that

problem, does it?

Yeah.

So we're going to look at the problems from the federal and the state level.
