Summary

We take a deep dive into the state of our oceans and the planet with award-winning photographers Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen.   Paul and ‘Mitty’ are incredible storytellers who have traveled to the far reaches of the globe and below our oceans to capture amazing imagery. They are also the co-founders of SeaLegacy—an organization using the power of media and storytelling to amplify ocean solutions.  In this edition, they discuss what they are seeing through their lenses—the impact of climate change on the environment, their recent work and what we can all do to help. Mitty also breaks down how our planet depends on the ocean and why whales are our best friends in saving the planet. She explains how they help take CO2 out of the atmosphere through what they poop. – Mosheh Oinounou (@mosheh) is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist. He has 20 years of experience at networks including Fox News, Bloomberg Television and CBS News, where he was the executive producer of the CBS Evening News and launched the network's 24 hour news channel. He founded the @mosheh Instagram news account in 2020 and the Mo News podcast and newsletter in 2022. Literally, they help take more CO2 out of the atmosphere through their actions, literally what they

eat and then what eventually comes out. They will explain the whale poop cycle and what it means for

CO2. We also, of course, beyond climate change, talk about photography and how they get up close
