Thank you, sir listeners. This is John Goldberg host of the Remnant Podcast

And just back media I am very excited about today's guest

And we'll get get to that in one second just so you know we are sticking with our recording schedule

So I'm recording this on Thursday morning and yes Russia is in the middle of invading Ukraine

But we're not gonna do a show about Ukraine right now. I'm hoping to get Leon Aaron back on to sort of

Walk through some of the stuff. He may have not gotten it entirely right the last time he was on

but regardless

We'll have plenty of coverage Ukraine the other dispatch podcasts are gonna be all over the place of Ukraine and probably next week

I'll be talking about Ukraine, but right now it's a lot of fog of war

There's not a lot of new stuff happening. We've talked about it a bunch around here

And I the last thing I wanted to do was either drop today's guest or

Force her to talk about something that she didn't feel like she had a lot to say at this moment

Or really to get into an argument with the libertarian about foreign policy at all last time we had a libertarian on here

I had Peter Sutterman on here and we spent 45 minutes

Passing over the role of waiting a long time in foreign policy and how that should be waited in our calculus about the withdrawal from Afghanistan and everybody hated it

And got mad at me and got mad at Peter and the rest of the conversation was fine, but man did people get upset

So we're not gonna do that and so instead I've got one of my absolute favorite people who I cannot believe I have not had on here

Until now and I am ashamed for that
