Hello everybody and welcome to this, your final update for the Patreon campaign that we've been running this year.

0:07.6

The Cana Rince Patreon has gone from strength to strength. We started it, I think, at the beginning of 2016.

0:16.3

It is now at the time of recording the middle of October 2017. And earlier this year, back in the springtime,

0:23.0

when the world was fresh and simple, we, uh, we, we stated our intention to, uh, aim for a target,

0:31.7

a Patreon funding target of $3,000 per month by mid-November, which is a month from now at the time of recording,

0:40.9

and not much difference from that at the time you're listening, if all goes well.

0:46.7

And the plan was that if we hit that $3,000 per month figure, it would mean that Jay and I

0:53.2

could effectively go full- on a on a very

0:57.1

modest wage by modern british uk standards um but focus even more of our time and energy into making

1:06.0

cana rinse and therefore actually commit to preparing, recording, editing and putting out a double

1:16.8

the amount of actual cane of inch shows covering 100 games, or occasionally a franchise, a year

1:22.8

instead of the current 50.

1:24.8

It's an enormous time investment.

1:26.8

We talked about it before. We have our

1:28.6

team of, I think, total of 11 or 12 people and they all donate their time voluntarily, as have

1:37.3

we done up until very recently, because we love it. We absolutely love it. But our intention is,

1:43.6

for Jay and I in particular,

1:45.3

too, with an increasingly well-looked-after support team of enthusiasts and volunteers,

1:53.4

to make this our working life, basically, effectively, to make Cana Rince the thing that we do, because it's the thing that we think we're best at, it rinse the thing that we do because it's the thing

2:02.6

that we think we're best at, it's the thing that we think contributes the most.

2:06.6

And we love doing it and we think it's okay to, you know, to get paid for work that you love doing.

2:13.6

But as I've said before, for every hour that you listen to of podcasts, and we currently do, including Sound of Play.
