Hey, fam-bam. Adriana and I just wanted to give you a quick message as we head into America's 250th birthday.

We want to remind you that you live in the greatest country that has ever existed.

We went from a rag-tag rebel force to the strongest nation in the world,

based on Christian values, hard work, and the simple principles established in our Constitution.

This is the place that everyone wants to live.

Look no further than the World Cup visitors in America to get a feel for how good

we have it. And we have many people to think for that. Men like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin,

John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and the other greats that risked their lives

and fortunes to create this nation. And unsung heroes like Margaret Cochran Corbin. Margaret's husband John Corbin enlisted in the

Continental Army, and Margaret accompanied her husband to the front lines as a camp follower, cooking, washing,

and nursing wounded soldiers. Then on November 16, 1776, when her husband was fatally struck by

enemy fire while defending Fort Washington

in northern Manhattan, Margaret immediately stepped in to load and fire his artillery piece,

continuing until she was severely wounded. Behind every great founder was a strong woman,

helping create the United States. The people that fought to build America were not perfect people. None of us are.

But they were extraordinary individuals that we must and shall celebrate.

Also, we hope each of you think not only of our founders, but those that risk so much to bring

you here. For me, that's ancestors like John Kemper, my sixth great-grandfather,

that arrived here in April 1714, helping set up the first German colony at the frontier of Virginia.
