to our listeners. He is at Notre Dame, professor there. And his book and thesis on, quote,

why liberalism failed is one of the most discussed and debated expressions in recent years.

Our topic today is not a new book, though.

It's a review essay that he wrote in American Affairs entitled, A Tyranny Without Tyrants.
