Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you're doing

well in this crazy world we're living in. This viral situation that's

spreading across the globe really is a once in a lifetime thing.

In fact, it's a once in a more than a lifetime thing, isn't it?

I mean, I am over 50 years old and I have never seen anything like this in all my living life as I say to my kids quite often

You know this is an amazing time we live in and there are all kinds of reasons for fear. I mean think about that.

Sheltering ourselves away in our homes for fear of contracting a deadly virus or

potentially deadly virus. Fear for our children

for the same reasons, fear for elderly aging parents. There are all kinds of

reasons we could be afraid.

And I thought it would be helpful for us now that we've wrapped up 2nd Peter to take just a few episodes.

To focus in on reasons we as believers in Christ have not to fear.

Now listen to that again. There are reasons and I might say plentiful reasons

we as believers in Christ have not to fear. Let's look at

Matthew chapter number nine. Jesus it says was getting into a boat, and he crossed over and came to his own city.

Now we assume that's Nazareth where he was raised.

And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic.

Now you know what that is. That's someone who's paralyzed. They cannot walk, they cannot

move their legs perhaps. This paralytic was lying on a bed and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the Paralytic

Take heart my son your sins are forgiven and behold some of the scribes said to themselves, this man is

blasphemy. But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, why do you think evil in your hearts?

For which is easier to say, your sins are forgiven, or to say, rise and walk. And I can just picture Jesus pausing right there to look at them and see if they're going to respond.
