But what are we actually paying with?

We're paying with our time.

We're paying with our attention.

And I think it's increasingly obvious

that we're paying with our mental health.

A lot of this is tied up with our obsession with work

as our only way of expressing value.

The clearest thing is that we somehow

are one of literally two countries in the world

that don't have paid family leave for new moms.

Because that somehow would be bad for business.

I think acknowledging human vulnerability and struggles

is also bad for business.
