The best gifts are not material but spiritual, not temporal, but eternal, and not earthly, and not earthly, but heavenly.

In the book of Ephesians, we discover a rich list of what God has given to his children.

Let's join Scott Pauley now as we open this portion of Scripture and take inventory of all spiritual blessings that are ours in Christ.

Are you a wealthy person?

Do you have an inheritance?

Well, if you're a Christian, the answer to that is yes and yes.

You may be poverty-stricken.

You may be a pauper here.

But your father, he's rich in houses and lands.

He holds of the wealth of the world in his

hands. Beauty is of diamonds of silver and gold. My father is rich. He has riches untold. I'm a child of the

king. We've been examining this blessing list in the book of Ephesians. We've just started, really,

in Ephesians chapter one. And we've taken our time looking at verses 3 through 14,

the blessing of being in the family of God, the blessings connected to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And when we came to the end of the list in verse number 14, there was a fascinating word.

It is the word inheritance.

God says he gives us the earnest of our inheritance under the redemption of the purchase possession under the praise of his glory. So,

watch, we get a down payment on the inheritance now. We get the full fulfillment of that

inheritance to come. Well, that thought is actually picked up immediately in the

verses that follow. In fact, the rest of chapter number one, I think, revolves around that

idea of the inheritance. The word is even repeated again. Let me read just a little. May I?
