Happy New Year, Next Best Picture Community.

The reason for this surprise recording right now is because we were so, so wrapped up in talking about 2018 on Sunday's episode that we did not give you a chance to hear our Golden Globe predictions for this Sunday. So that's what we're here to do.

0:45.1

Joining me to give our predictions for this Sunday show, I have Michael Schwartz. Hello, everyone. Josh Parm.

0:52.3

Hello, hello. Cody Derrick's. It's me, Miss Golden Globe 2019. And also joining us is Deanne Knighton. Hi, friends. All right, everybody. Golden Globes predictions this Sunday live on pay-per-view. No, just kidding. Seriously, though. I mean, it's one of the best parties of the year. I love the Golden Globes. I think there's so much fun. People seem to be more loose, more excited, more energetic. The jokes definitely seem to land pretty well during those ceremonies, unless if you're Ricky Treveis, for the most part, you know? So we're going to just pretty much just go through each category, give our predictions,

1:28.7

and get the hell out of here.

1:29.9

We got to have her stuff.

1:30.7

1:32.1

So with that said, why don't we just start her off here?

1:36.8

Best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a series, limited series,

1:42.0

or motion picture made for television.

1:45.0

nominees are Alex Bornstein, the marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Patricia Clarkson, and Sharp Objects,

1:49.8

Penelby Cruz, the assassination of Gianni Versace, American Crime Story,

1:53.6

Tandy Newton for Westworld, and Yvonne Stravsky for The Handmaid's Tale.

1:59.1

Who are you going with, Michael? Well, Alex Borstein won the Emmy for Mrs. Maisel and comedy series, but at the Globes, they just sort of throw everyone together for miniseries, drama, and comedy. So it's a whole mishmash here. I'm going with Patricia Clarkson from Sharp Objects, even though that show has been untested at the Emmys and other award shows, but I think it's a Beatty part that they're going to respond to.

2:21.3

All right.

2:22.1

Josh Parm?

2:23.2

My prediction is actually Conelty Cruz for the assassination of Gianni Versace simply because

2:29.6

she's a big star, and they seem to go for them in these categories at the Globes.

2:35.3

Okay. Cody?
