And today we're doing something a little different. The next episode of this podcast will be our last, at least for now. And so for our Penn Ultimate outing, we thought it might be appropriate to take a look back at some of our favorite series finale. And honestly, the much easier list to make here would have been the most disappointing finale because there are so many more examples of that than shows

that really stuck the landing. But that's why I wanted to do this. It's not just about discussing

which ones had an impact on us, but maybe also have a broader conversation

about why they worked so well, what made these such satisfying endings, and what lessons

could other shows take from these examples? So we each chose five, and there were some repeats

initially, so we revised our lists to make sure we each had unique answers.

But before we get into that, I thought we could start by thinking back to when we were kids and some of the first series finales that we remember happening.

That realization that like, oh, yeah, these things end at some point.
