Today we're playing one of our favorite ever episodes for you.

It's called The Secret Life of Plants.

This might not seem like the most obvious holiday show, but wait, there's a reason we wanted

to share it.

One of our favorite holiday traditions is a plant with a secret life.

It's the Tio d'Ene doll or Christmas log.

Often called cougatio or the pooping log.

Tio is an important part of Christmas in Catalonia, which is the region of Spain where we live

in Barcelona.

Imagine a normal log or stick with a smiling face and a little red cap, and sometimes he's

got two little feet in front.

It problem up so he can stand and smile at you.

In Barcelona, Tio is much more famous than Santa.

You see him everywhere, and in December, the shops are just like full of Tio's.

And here's the thing.

Every single family has their own Tio.

So if you're a kid in Catalonia, either your Tio just appears magically in your home, or

you get to go out and find him in the forest, then you take him home and you feed him every

night.

We do this with our Tio.
