Hey everyone. Last year we read and listened to a lot of books. This year, my goal is also to

eat and smell books. Between Dave and I, we read over 260 books. And between you and I,

only 80 of them were on my side of that scoreboard. Of all those, today we're going to list our top 10

favorite books of 2023. And this is the book pile. A podcast about the best of books and the

worst of books. If this is your first time to the podcast, welcome and may we suggest checking

out our back catalog of over 160 episodes. We've covered everything from Shakespeare to

Dickens to Elton John and several other British men who just love rhyming stuff, plus like

150 books from other people. I'm Kellan Rishkin. I'm a comic, a father, and a big believer in

just to grease the wheels of reading goals.

my top five favorite books from 2023, followed by Dave's top five favorite books that we didn't

cover on the podcast because he reads so many books. He doesn't need every single one to count for

this show, the way that some of the rest of us do.

Number five, Enlightenment Now.

So this is a book about how we're living in probably the best time to ever be alive on this planet as a human.
