Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

This Saturday, August 22nd, we will gather in five different places around the country for

candlelight rosary procession preceded by renewing our consecration to our lady as well as consecrating our

country to her. God knows that our country needs it. In preparation for this renewal of consecration, we will be meditating on the eight lines

of the Our Father this week in order to take on the interior attitude of Jesus.

So let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for, especially offering this

for Jeannie Sherman for the request of the healing of little Olivia Caneli and for all of your

intentions. In Luke Chapter 11 Jesus was praying at a certain place, and when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him,

Lord, teach us to pray. In response to this request, Jesus taught the Apostles the fundamental Christian prayer, the Our Father.

In his book Jesus of Nazareth, Pope Benedict explains that the words of the Our Father are much

more than just a formula for a prayer.

Each line and each word given insight to the interior attitude of Jesus in his relationship with the Father. In the sermon on the Mount Jesus

begins with the Beatitudes which show us the virtues, the actions of Jesus.

But in the Our Father, we get something different.

We get the interior life, the way that Jesus related to God the Father. So if we want to understand Jesus and

become like him, then we need to understand and live these interior dispositions

that are revealed in each of the eight lines of the Our

Father. So let us pay close attention to each line as we pray. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollow would be your name,

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
