St. Corinthians chapter 1 verses 3 and 4.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies,

and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort

those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Oh, what a beautiful couple of verses to start the book of 2 Corinthians.

Think about this description of God. He's the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of Mercies. Think about that in your life today and it's whatever you're walking through.

God is the Father of Mercies. He's the author of mercy, the giver of mercy, the dispenser of mercy

every morning you wake up. There are new mercies flowing to you from the Father of Mercies

and the God of all comfort. He is God of comfort, a beautiful description of God that obviously

points us to the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, who Jesus calls the Comforter. You have the Comforter,

capitals see living inside of you as you walk through afflictions, hardship, challenges.

You know that God of all comfort, you have the Comforter living inside of you, which goes

into verse 4, who comforts us in all our affliction, and then watch this purpose clause,

so that, so God comforts us when we walk through affliction. Like that in and of itself is awesome,

then you take it a step further so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,

so that we might become dispensers of comfort, so that we might be comfortors in others' lives as

they walk through affliction, just as we have been comforted by God, so that we may be able to

comfort those who are in affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

and think about how God has brought comfort to you during those times and
