When I was a young man, Moulson Brewery in Canada advertised its beer with the oft-repeated slogan, Moulson is better.

Now, it so happened that three of my four years when I was at McGill University, I lived in a men's residence called Moulson Hall.

You can guess who put up most of the money for it.

In fact, there were three residences built the same way, clustered halfway up Mount Royal, Gardner, Moulson, and McConnell.

These three residences were all built the same way. They had two wings each.

And where the two wings joined, there was a glass front behind the glass, a spiral staircase going up six or seven floors.
