POD fans, since we run a comedic podcast that often jokes about a variety of serious topics,

we felt that in order to have this discussion in the dignified way it deserves,

we should release a dedicated response directly addressing the

murder of George Floyd and the subsequent movement for justice that is

spread around the world. Let's be clear. This isn't a matter of politicizing a podcast since these issues transcend

community borders and party lines. We consider ourselves to be entertainers, which

means we're inherently distractors from reality.

However, we feel that injustice, inequality,

and protection of freedom of speech

are issues that demand the attention and participation

of all of us. Systemic racism and police brutality are huge and

complex issues to tackle making them feel overwhelming to talk about, but

engaging in the conversation is how change happens.

We recognize that posting a tweet or updating a profile picture on social media

is a way to show support for this growing movement, but it isn't the solution to long-term change.

We acknowledge the pain, anger, and frustration that so many of you are feeling.

Know that we stand with the black community against violence and systemic racism and are doing our part to help elicit change.

We hope that you'll make your voice heard as well.

Hold government officials accountable by writing to your local and state representatives.
