So we have worship week this week. So we're going to take a little detour from what we've

0:12.1

been learning on building a structure, mission, and vision, goals, plans, and steps. Do you remember

0:18.3

that? That was a good teaching. We're going to finish it. I want to, um, when did you turn

0:23.8

to Exodus chapter 19 and we're going to go through quite a few verses and, um, you may

0:29.5

have already heard some of these, uh, or you will hear these later on this week. Um, this

0:42.0

is our call to worship in Exodus 19 verse 5 is the Lord speaking through Moses. Now then

0:51.2

if you've indeed, if you indeed obey my voice, God says to the people and keep my commandment

1:45.2

tell the people if they will obey my voice, they will be my personal possession. And they shall

1:51.8

be to me, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. And so Moses comes down from the mountain and

1:59.4

he tells the shares that message with the people. And in chapter 20 verse 18, this is the people's

2:06.6

response. All the people received, I'm sorry, perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and

2:13.0

the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking. And when they saw it, they trembled and they

2:18.2

stood at a distance. Everybody say at a distance. Then they said to Moses, speak to us yourself and

2:26.2

we will listen, but let not God speak to us or we will die. And Moses said to the people, do not

2:33.0

be afraid for God has come in order to test you in order that the fear of him may remain with you
