for joining me. We've got a fun show planned for today. We got some cool stuff to talk about

and by cool stuff. I mean, theoretically kind of sad stuff because E3 isn't happening. This

is a sort of a thing we kind of expected. We're not really hugely surprised by that, but

that said we do want to kind of look back at some of our fondest, weirdest, et cetera,

PlayStation related E3 memories. But we're also going to talk a little bit about two of

the souls likes that are coming down the pike later this year or in the near future.

A Ninja Turtles game that kind of low-key got announced and whatever else we have time

for. But without further ado, let's talk about some E3 stuff. John, part of the reason I

had you join us is because you are a bit of an industry veteran and you've seen it.

You've seen some shit. I've seen some shit. So when an E3 was at its heyday, I was running

EGM and then I was running the official PlayStation magazine. So a lot of my memories of E3

are very PlayStation related. So the two, it's funny. My favorite, my E3 moment of all

time was at my least favorite E3. So in 97 and 98, which is how long ago we're talking,

it was in Atlanta for some reason. And it was hottest bulls and sweaty and nasty and horrible.

And so many that year, so they were, you know, like the PlayStation was not even four years old yet.

So I was there and I was hanging out with Chris Vanderkuhl, who now runs a studio that

maintains Minecraft alongside Mojang. And he, his studio is in Scotland and there's an

organization called the Scottish Game Alliance. And they would go to E3 and they would be in full

Scottish regalia, cokes, sparrings, the works. So my last meeting of the day on the day of,

Sony used to have these huge just like epic parties at E3. And he was my last meeting of the day
