the space station, where does the waste go? To answer this, we've got Josh from the National Space Center on the line. Hey Josh.

Good afternoon. Thank you so much for joining us. So I love the fact that even when you take a big idea, the international space station, finding out incredible things in the universe. Still, we want to know

what happens when they go to the loo. So what happens to an astronaut when they're going to

pee in the space station? Well, these are definitely important things to think of. You know,

it's something that happens to us all the time, many times a day. And so we have to consider

how these sort of simple activities are going to be changed by the

amazing environment of space. There's actually two slightly different answers depending on the

type of waste you're talking about. Now, I'll try and keep this as clean as possible.

Any liquid waste that's generated by the astronauts, that gets collected up. It actually goes down
