Summary

The past month has felt like a pivotal turning point in the fight for racial justice, especially for Black lives. But hey, I don't have to tell you that, right? You've seen anti-racism authors topping the New York Times Bestseller lists for weeks. You saw your Instagram feed decked out in black squares for #BlackoutTuesday. And you might have even made it to a protest in your city.

But roughly one month after George Floyd's murder, my company and I are asking ourselves, what else? How do we keep this movement going after social media has moved on? While buying an anti-racism book or sharing a post on Instagram is moving in the right direction, it is decidedly not enough. This episode will outline our commitment to social justice and the Black Lives Matter movement, and will detail actionable ways that we will prioritize anti-racism moving forward. You're welcome to use this plan within your own company or for your personal use. Let's dive in!

which was our first one back. And if you haven't listened to that, I just highly recommend that you go listen to her

0:58.7

because she is just so wise and so easy to listen to.

1:05.2

I've gotten amazing feedback from people about her episode.

1:08.9

So highly recommend listening to that.

1:11.3

And for today, what I want to do is talk about anti-racism.

1:15.2

And specifically, what myself and my company are going to be doing moving forward to embody

1:21.9

anti-racism, to make this a bigger part of our mission.

1:24.5

Because what's become clear to me, it's actually been about a month

1:28.9

since George Floyd was killed. And it's crazy to think of what's happened in that month. We've seen

1:35.9

the New York Times bestseller list completely filled with anti-racism books. We saw thousands and

1:43.4

thousands of people post a little black square

1:45.6

for Blackout Tuesday. Maybe you went to a protest. Maybe you shared something on social media.

1:51.5

We've seen some of the aftermath. We've seen the turning point and how things are starting to

1:56.7

shift, how conversations are shifting, how businesses are shifting, how our priorities are shifting.
