Our special guest today is Chris Hall.

Chris, man, thank you so much for joining the show today.

Excited to be here, Bill, excited to be able to join and excited for the conversation.

Now, I love when I get to talk to people like yourself who are not necessarily day-to-day engineers.

So you'll have a little different story.

And for people out there that are also focused on product and focused on things maybe surrounding engineering,

but not actually hitting the keyboard with code, I think it's going to be a great sort of show for you.

Plus, I think there are more engineers that need to understand this stuff than not.

Anyway, so I hang out with us for the next hour and a half as we talk to Chris.

Now, Chris, give everybody like the two-minute elevator spiel on, So what you're doing today?

Definitely. So I work at Otis.

So Otis is an education technology company and our goal is to be able to take all of this information

about students that exist in so many different places and we want to bring it together

in one place so that the educators and families

who work with those students have all the data and insights they need to make a difference in those

students' lives and help them learn and achieve all the amazing things that they can do.

I was a seventh grade social studies teacher and I was really excited to describe what those problems were to the delivery team.

We call our team the delivery team, so the engineers in the product team to be able to problem solve.

How do we do that? How do we attack that?

And it's amazing to look at problems in a very simple way.
