It's been a while, but we're back.

My name is Tyler Thompson.

I'm the editor and chief of Kentucky Sports Radio.

And tonight I'm joined by my co-host fake Barney.

Fake Barney how you doing doing good.

I'm trying to think back when our last podcast was and got some catching up.

Actually looked it up.

Yeah it was in April. Wow. I wish I had an excuse. I mean I do have some

of an excuse. It's been a long weird kind of hard summer for a variety of reasons.

You know, we've been busy with work and that that's all been fine, but I've had some family health issues. I've had to be in Kentucky for a little bit.

And then of course, two weeks ago, we lost our friend Jared Luresen.

And I don't think either of us have really had a chance to speak about that yet.

So I thought maybe we could start just by talking about what Jared kind of meant to us and to Kentucky fans. I wrote about this on the website. I wasn't as close to

Jared obviously as other members of the KSR family. I know Ryan super close to him and every time I hear Ryan talk about it,

it kind of chokes me up because you can just tell how close they were.

Obviously Drew and Matt were very close.

Nick worked with him on the podcast.

But you know, I knew Jared, obviously.

We were in the same circles for a while

and every KSR function, he would be there and he was just a larger than life

presence. I mean you walked in and immediately he made you feel at ease you know you could be in it was I think of the KSR Christmas parties and the 10 year
