And I'm super excited today because I've got a great play for you guys today from the suspense program.

And this play is an absolute classic of old-time radio mystery and suspense.

This was a very popular play and really represents well the golden age of radio suspense dramas.

mystery and suspense genres. I just really love it and it's such a classic and one of my favorites

Plus, it also stars a very well-known actor, Mr. Carey Grant.

And so I will say just a few brief comments about Carrie Grant, and then we will get into today's play.

Carrie Grant was born January 18th, 1904, and he was an English-born American actor known as one of

classic Hollywood's definitive leading men.

Born in Bristol, he became attracted to theater at a young age and began performing with a

group known as the Penders at age six. He established a name for himself in vaudeville in the 20s and toured the United States before moving to Hollywood in the early 1930s.

He initially appeared in crime films or dramas such as Blonde Venus of 1932 and and she done him wrong of 1933.

He later gained popularity for his appearances in romantic comedy and screwball comedy films as well.

Some of these include The Awful Truth of 1937, Bringing Up Baby of 1938, and His Girl Friday of 1940.
