Yes, there she goes.

My beloved Aunt Mora, her skirts rustling as she waddles up the stairs to her room.

My earliest memories are memories of her.

Always dressed in the same way, heavy dark dresses which only accentuate her huge body, her fat body. Always waddling from our dark living room of the circular wooden stairway to her room on the second floor,

leaving behind a faint scent of mimosa perfume, mixed with the sweet odor of rice powder, and the dusty smell of old clothes.

Aunt Mora, mother, father, brother and sister, all these she's been to me.

My only relative, Aunt Mora, there's always been just two of us.

Alone, alone together.
