All right, so I've got a good one for you guys today from suspense, and this one is called The Thing in the Window.

And this was a radio play written for suspense by Lucille Fletcher, and it was actually performed twice on suspense, one in 1946 starring Joseph Cotton,

and the other in 1949 starring Robert Montgomery.

So a few quick words about Robert Montgomery, then we'll get right into it.

Robert Montgomery was born May 21st, 1904, and he was an American film and television actor.

He was also a director and producer. He began his acting career on this stage, but was soon hired by Metro-Golwyn-Mayer. He was initially assigned roles in comedies,

but he soon proved he was able to handle dramatic roles as well.

When World War II broke out, he drove ambulances in France until the Dunkirk evacuation.

When the United States entered the war on December 8th of 1941, he enlisted in the Navy and was present at the invasion at Normandy.

Very interesting stuff there. I love hearing about how some of these actors were involved in the war.

After the war, he returned to Hollywood where he worked in both films and later on in television.

He passed away September 27th, 1981.
