I've got a nice hour-long play from suspense today to air for you, and this was one of the very

few hour-long dramas that they produced.

The title of this one is In a Lonely Place, and this was actually made into a movie later

on starring Humphrey Bogart in the leading male role.

The radio drama from suspense here stars Robert Montgomery, and we've seen Robert Montgomery a few times now on the podcast,

notably in the play Night Must Fall. Really enjoyed his performance in that play.

Just a little background on Robert Montgomery, and then we'll get into today's play.

Robert Montgomery was born May 21st of 1904, and he was an American film and television actor.

He was also a director and producer.

In the beginning, he was assigned roles in comedies, but soon proved that he was able to do dramatic roles as well.

During World War II, he drove ambulances in France until the Dunkirk evacuation.

When the United States entered the war on December 8th of 1941, he enlisted in the
