Got an episode for you from the CBS Radio Mystery Theater today called Cold Storage.

This one stars John Beargray and Ruby D. I want to say just a few brief comments about them.

Then we will get right into it. John Barry Gray was was born April 15th of 1918, and he was an American film, television, and

stage actor who appeared in many dramatic television series of the 1950s and early

1960s.

Unfortunately, today, he is not remembered all that well,

partly because much of his work was in early television,

and many of the tapes of these shows have been lost or were never even recorded.

John Bear Gray passed away August 4th of 1975.

Also starting today is Ruby D.

Ruby D. was born October 27th of 1922, and she was an American actress, poet, playwright, screenwriter, journalist, and civil

rights activist. She is perhaps best known for originating the role of Ruth Younger in the stage

and film versions of A Raisin in the South of 1961.

Her other notable film roles include the Jackie Robinson story of 1950 and do the right thing of 1989.
