I really want to apologize because I really wanted to get this year's Halloween

special episode out actually on or before Halloween, but it did not happen this week.

It has just been absolutely crazy. But still, I'm going to feature our normal Halloween special play like normal,

even though Halloween is over this year. And so I hope that everyone had, if you celebrate

Halloween, that is, I hope that everyone had a great Halloween and had a lot of fun. And I've got a good play for you guys for our Halloween special this year.

And it's called The Oblong Box by the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

It's their adaptation of the Edgar Allan Poe classic.

And so the Oblong Box was originally a short story by Edgar Allan Poe first published in 1844.

The first run was on January 8th of 1975.

There was a repeat run on March 9th of 1975 and a repeat run on June 17th of 1979. It stars Richard Mulligan,

also appearing are Grace Matthews, Brina Rayburn, and Court Benson. George Lother was the writer.

I will say a few comments about a few of these actors after the play today, but now let's go

ahead and get into it.
