All right, so I've got a good play for you guys today from the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

And I really enjoyed listening to this one, and I hope you do as well.

The name of the play is called Stitch in Time, and it stars Mr. Leon Janney. He plays the lead male role in today's play as Big Bill Rawlinson. A little bit of info here about him then we'll get right into it. So Leon Janney was born

April 1st, 1917 and he was an American actor and radio personality from 1920 to 1980.

He made his first theatrical appearance at only age two before an audience at the Patagos

Theater in his hometown.

In 1926, he made his first appearance on radio.

By the mid-1930s, Leon Jani was considered the quintessential male juvenile star

and was earning more than $100,000 a year.

And you also got to realize back then that was a lot more than it is in today's terms.

He was the master of using convincing foreign accents and even more so at adapting regional dialects of the United States.

After serving in World War II as a translator, he continued working in radio and theater.

In the early 1940s, he starred in his own radio series The Adventures of Dick Cole.

He appeared in dozens of other radio series as well, including suspense, the mysterious traveler,

X-minus one, and of course the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. He actually starred in 80 episodes of the CBS
