So glad you are tuning in.

I've got a good one for you guys today from the suspense program and this one actually

aired towards the end of the suspense program. This one aired in 1960 and I believe suspense ended

their series in 1962. But the name of the play is called Sleep is for Children and it stars Elspeth Eric and Bill Adams.

Also appearing in it are Sarah Fussell, Betty Gard, Ruth Tobin, and Ralph Bell.

So Bill Adams and Elspeth Eric are the two main cast characters in today's play.

And so I'm going to speak just real briefly about Elspeth Eric.

And then I'll say a few words about Bill Adams after the play today.

Elspeth Eric plays the role of Ellen today, and she was born in 1907 and was an actress of old-time

radio usually cast as the other woman in soaps and cereals.

Her initial work in radio came in Big Sister and Aunt Jenny's real life stories.

Some of the other programs that she appeared on in radio were The Haunting Hour, the FBI in

Peace and War, Abbott Mysteries, Inner Sanctom Mystery,

Bulldog Drummond, Gangbusters, Grand Central Station, and Mr. District Attorney.

She did do some stuff with television, but she actually preferred working in radio.
