I have got a good play for you today, one of my favorites actually from suspense.

And this one's called In Fear and Trembling.

And it stars Mary Aster. Mary Aster was born May 3rd, 1906. She was an American actress,

and she is best remembered for her role as Bridget O'Shaughnessy in the Maltese Falcon of 1941.

She actually began her motion picture career as a teenager in the silent movies of the early

1920s. After she appeared in a play with her friend Florence Eldridge, she started getting film offers.

Unfortunately, in 1936, her career was almost destroyed by a scandal.

She had reportedly an affair with playwright George S. Kaufman and was branded an adulterous wife by her ex-husband, and they had a custody

fight over her daughter. But she overcame all of these personal problems in her private life,

and went on to success on the screen, eventually winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance

in The Great Lie of 1941. She was a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer contract player through most of the 1940s

and continued to work in film, television, and on stage until her retirement in 1964.

She authored five novels.
